The above video courtesy of DJraprider shows the go karts at Fast Lap Indoor Kart Racing in Las Vegas. The go karts have Honda 200cc engines and can reach speeds of up to 50mph although because you are so close to the ground it will seem even faster. Right now for the next five days Living Social has a deal for $68 for up to four people for two races as well as other discount pricing. For more information about the track, times and location etc check out the Fast Lap website.
If you are bringing your kids to Las Vegas and want to keep them entertained the big Strip hotel pools and small arcades will keep them entertained for a while but then what? Well one option is Circus Circus with its free midway performances and large arcade inside upstairs. Another option at Circus Circus is the Adventuredome Theme Park which is located in the pink glass dome next to the hotel. The indoor theme park used to charge per ride but now you can get an all day ride pass with discount coupons often found in the free Las Vegas magazines. The main ride here is a double corkscrew roller coaster which doesn’t compare to rides at Six Flags for example but is still a fun ride. The small theme park also has a merry go round and some slower rides for the young ones. A 4D movie theater and an arcade can also be found under the pink dome, this place won’t keep the kids amused for ever but it will for a few hours.

The Stratosphere Las Vegas gets all the attention for thrill rides in Las Vegas but there is a roller coaster right on the Strip at the New York New York resort. The roller coaster may not be as huge as some in a Six Flags park but it’s still quite a ride; the coaster lifts you up 203 feet and then drops you down 144 feet with a speed of 67 mph and also features a barrel roll. Tickets for one ride are $14 but a better deal is a $25 Scream Pass which is an all-day ride pass and includes $2 off a 5x7 photo. Other packages include a $60 family package for four which includes two 5x7 photos most likely showing you scared to post on your wall at home. On one trip to Las Vegas I did see a couple getting married on the roller coaster and if you are so inclined you can too because nothing says commitment more than getting married at 67 mph as the coaster twists and turns. The ceremony can take place during a 15 minute ride with a morning ceremony costing $600 and an evening ceremony costing $700. Hours for the ride are 10:30am to midnight but weather such as high winds can close the ride at times also you have to be 54" to ride the coaster.
The above video is from the Travel Channel and is about an attraction where you can get the thrill of skydiving without going up on a plane at Vegas Indoor Skydiving. The attraction is close to the Strip near the "Riviera" and features a 12 feet wide by 22 foot high padded wind tunnel in which you can get the experience of free falling. At the base of the tunnel is a covered DC-3 propeller that generates wind speeds up to 120 mph to help you feel the thrill of human flight. Before you start they give you some training and equipment such as jumpsuit and helmet and then you are ready to go. The attraction isn't inexpensive with one flight costing $85 but repeat flights cost $50 and a picture of the experience so you can show your friends you are brave is $15. You can reserve your flight time online and getting a dvd of your flight is also available for $25.

For years there have been mini golf places around Las Vegas but not in the tourist areas but a new one is opening across from the “Hard Rock.” The new mini golf course is themed with a KISS® rock band theme so it’s different from the normal putt putt courses. The course is indoors and has eighteen indoor glow in the dark holes with the KISS® theme including Gene Simmons’s famous tongue on the 18th hole. The course also has a state of the art arcade as what’s being billed as the largest KISS® gift shop in the world, who are we to argue and a KISS® gallery. They also have a ‘Hotter Than Hell Wedding Chapel’ my guess only true KISS® fans will what to get married this way; Because nothing is more romantic than getting married at a miniature golf course. Other attractions include a private VIP Room as well as other KISS® themed event rooms and a ‘Rock ‘n Roll All Nite’ Café. If you need some music while you play the course has a live DJ who will play your favorite KISS® music as well trivia, contests and prizes throughout the day. Prize is $11.95 for a round of golf with discounts for parties of 20 or more.

There are several places in Las Vegas to pay to race small go karts on of these is 'Pole Position Raceway' which is in a 60,000 sq ft building next to the "Palms" so makes it easy to find. The karts are a good way to burn off steam and get away from the Strip for a couple of hours. The karts go up to speeds of 45 mph but because you are so close to the ground it seems much faster. You can go head to head in the karts and all equipment needed is provided with races starting under $20. The building also includes event and meeting rooms as well as arcade games and billiards as well as a free shuttle from the Strip.
Location: Opens at 11am daily
