The Four Queens  has been on Fremont Street since 1966 and is nice for an older property with high ceilings in the casino a small showroom and a good selection of food options for a smaller property. The owner of the Four Queens Terry Caudill who i met in the small but good brew pub on the property also owns Binions across the street.

Hotel:

The hotel has a tower right on Fremont Street and one that is set back by the check in desk if you are a light sleeper or sleep before midight i would skip the rooms on Fremont Street as they can be noisey especially on the lower floors. The 690 rooms in the hotel have been remodeled as you can see from the pictures and are basic downtown rooms although the curtain and bedspread color choices arn't the greatest but the rooms are usually good value for the money.

Casino:

The casino has over 1,000 slots as well as a good selection of table games and the overall casino has an old time Las Vegas feel with high ceilings which isnt always common downtown. One note about the casino if you are using the table games the walk to the bathroom is the other side of the property past the hotel check in area.

Restaurants:

The property also has a small food court as well as Hugo's Cellar downstairs which is a great restaurant with a classic Vegas feel. The coffee shop at "Four Queens" is the Magnolia Cafe and is really good and has some booths that look out on the casino floor which is very cool.

Bars:

The casino has two bars the King's and the Palace bar which are your basic casino bars and they also make a great shrimp cocktail if you are hungry. Upstairs next to Magnolia's is the Chicago Brewing Company which is small but has great brewpub beers plus really good Chicago style pizza and appitizers with a cigar lounge. Either one or both of the casino bars are always open and the Chicage Brewing Company is open from 11:30am to 1:30am daily.

Four Queens Adding Bar

Photo Courtesy Of The Four QueensAnother street side bar heading is heading to Fremont Street this time as you can see from the picture its out front of the Four Queens where construction is under way. The new bar will have indoor and outdoor seating and this continues a trend from the last few years as one by one the hotels on Fremont Street under the canopy have added street bars. The renamed Fitzgerald's now D Las Vegas is also adding a street side bar which follows new street side bars opened at the Golden Nugget and the Whiskey Liquor bar on the corner at Binion's. No announcement yet from the Fremont about a street side bar but it cannot be far away.

Four Queen's Toiletries

The toiletries at the Four Queen's are as expected for an inexpensive room rate not high end stuff and at the $29 room rate we paid we cannot complain too much. The shampoo/conditioner and lotion as you can see in the picture is orange scented and was okay. The soaps on the other hand were super slim which is great in a cell phone but if you have bigger hands wouldn't make for the easiest to hold; The only other comment is usually you get a larger soap bar for the shower but in this case both the one for the sink and, shower were exactly the same size. For the cheap room rate you are expecting basic toiletries and thats what you get although the soap could be better.

Hugo's Cellar At Four Queens

Hugo's Cellar is a gourmet restaurant located downstairs off the casino floor below the Magnolia Cafe coffee shop. The restaurant has an old time Las Vegas feel when people walk in to the restaurant the ladies are handed a red rose a nice touch. The food is consistantly good and features such touches as a salad freshly made at your table on a cart. Yes this restaurant can be expensive but if you are looking for a place for a special occasion this wouldn't be a bad option. Hugo's Cellar is open Sun-Thur 5:30pm-10:30pm and Fri & Sat 5pm-10:30pm for reservations call 1 (800) 634-6045.
