CBS Television City

The CBS Television City is located near the CSI Attraction at the MGM Grand and when open usually a person is standing out front or near a desk with a clipboard. Once admitted you will get to watch CBS network shows usually pilots or unaired episodes of shows and then fill out a sheet about what you thought of the show. This might not be for everyone but it is an excuse to relax and sit down for a bit and your opinions and ratings go to the network decision makers. The CBS Television City is open daily from 10am to 9pm and if you are interested just talk to the person out from of the sign, if there is already a group in there you may have to wait a bit or come back but usually they can get you in pretty quick.

Free Show: Bellagio Fountains

This show is located on the lake in front of the Bellagio right on the Strip and its a must see if you are walking down this part of the Strip. The show features amazing huge fountains in a show set to music and has been showcased in many movies such as the remake of Ocean’s Eleven. If you want to see the show i would suggest you get there before show times as the show draws big crowds especially on Friday and Saturday nights and prime spots along the railing go quickly. The showtimes are Monday to Friday 3-8pm every 30 minutes and then every 15 minutes from 8pm to midnight; on weekends from noon to 8pm shows are every 30 minutes and then every 15 minutes from 8pm to midnight again.

Free Statue Shows At Caesar's

Caesar’s Palace has two free statue shows in the Forum Shops mall which feature animatronic statues of the gods that come to life and then talk as well as sing during the show. The first show is called ‘Atlantis' which is located in front of the Cheesecake Factory and the second show is called the ‘Festival of Fountains’ which is located near the Tourneau store. The last time i watched the ‘Atlantis ‘show there was some sound issues but on a more recent visit it was closed for repairs so I’m sure that issue is now fixed. Both shows are entertaining but I would recommend that you get there a few minutes early to get a good viewing spot. I wouldn't go out of your way to watch this show but if you plan to visit "Caesars Palace" and the Forum Shops anyway and can pry yourself from shopping for a few minutes its worth checking out. The shows run every hour on the hour and generally run Sunday through Thursday 10am to 11pm with shows running 10am to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Free Pullman Car Display

Just off Fremont Street downtown between the "Plaza" and the "Main Street Station" right next to the street is some Pullman rail cars with the interiors decked out as they would have been when they were being used. You can look right through the glass windows at the compartments and rooms such as the dining room this isn't something i would make a trip to see but if you are downtown its worth a visit and its free and as on the street open 24 hours a day.

Hard Rock Cafe Interactive Wall Museum

The new Hard Rock Cafe on the strip near the MGM has a very cool interactive wall where you can touch it to find out more about your favorite bands as you can see above. Other things to look at is of course the rock artifacts which the Hard Rock Cafes are known for.

Free Photo With One Million Dollars At Binion's"

Yes you read the title right at Binion's downtown on Fremont street you can get a free picture with one million dollars of real us notes. The denomination of notes varies from one dollar to one hundred dollar notes. For a few years this display was removed but its nice to see that its back. The display is open daily from 10am to 11pm and is located next to the players club booth. They do require you have to be 21 years old but if you have younger than that then your mean't to be in the casino anyways.

Laser Show At Planet Hollywood

One of the many free attractions in town is the Laser Light Show which is located in The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. This show is located in  a small dome within the mall and is basically green laser lights dancing in the air not the most exciting show in town. If you're in the mall and happen to catch it thats fine but i wouldn't go out of your way for this show.
