One night in Las Vegas is never enough but a quick trip to Las Vegas is better than no trip at all.
* 11am when to check in at the Flamingo and there was an hour wait for people to check out but luckly i used my Platinum status to check in with no waiting at the Platinum and Diamond check in area.
* The room was one of there newly remodeled Go Fab rooms which is their basic room and was nicely appointed but didn't have things like a coffee maker but was clean and fine. No coffee maker but it does have a retractable clothes line in the bath tub a nice item to dry out pool clothes as well as a bottle opener.
* Usual guys in costume with tourists taking pictures on the Strip and turning away when people don't pay to take pictures; One tourist was upset when a character asked for a$5 tip but another character an Elvis impersonator was nice to everyone and i watched him give directions to visitors a few times in the few minutes i sat down to take a break. I also watched several people with animals asking for tips (cruel for the animals in 108 degree weather) guess the clamp down on them hasn't worked so far but i didn't see the water vendors which used to be so often seen. There also seemed to be less nightclub pass vendors maybe a sign of the economy and also the porn card vendors seem to be broken up along the Strip instead of large groups in certain areas which seemed the norm in the past.
* The Strip was busy which is a good sign and even the Imperial Palace which is surrounded by construction seemed pretty busy. The only thing that wasn't busy was the poor monorail which ran with light traffic.
* Watched drunk people yell down the hallway and then one of them run in to a door he cut his nose and was picked up by his friends from the floor. I don't think he felt the hit but im sure he will when he sobers up.
* People carrying babies and young kids in strollers at 2am on the Strip just so wrong.
* Why do some people try to push their way on the elevator as you are trying to get off.
* 70 year old lady with a drink cup in her hand asked me in the elevator if i wanted company i passed.
