In March of this year the property raised the fee from $7.50 to $12.99 a day with the new daily resort fee now being $14.99 plus tax. The property doesn’t have an amazing swimming pool or other amenities such as free internet that would make the new fee more palatable although if you use some of the things included such as going up the tower you could get your money’s worth from the fee. Included for the fee is unlimited tower admission for up to four guests, 2 for 1 tickets to see the Pin Up show at the property and $19.99 tickets to Frankie Moreno their headliner at the Stratosphere which is a $20 savings on the regular ticket price; Twenty four, seven day a week access to the fitness center, an all-day thrill ride pass for $25 and finally a 20 percent discount at Roni Josaef Spa and Salon.

The trend for licensing hot cable television shows for slot machines continues, recently the Pawn Stars slot machine was released and now news that a slot machine based on the AMC zombie show 'The Walking Dead' is heading to casinos this fall from Aristocrat slots. I have often seen people in the casino's at 4am who look like zombies but now as you can see in the video you can gamble with zombies. I'm sure this game will be popular with fans of the show and non fans alike, it most likely won't be the last cable show that becomes a slot machine as makers are always looking for different licensing opportunities.

Some hotels offer free shuttle buses to their properties for hotel guests but most do not so check on the hotel website or with your hotel first. Another option is the paid for shuttle buses which you pick up from one side of the baggage claim area. You just tell the shuttle employees in the booth which hotel you are going too and then pay them after which they will direct you to the right bus. The companies generally have shuttles that work the strip and then separate ones that work downtown. Fares differ slightly between companies but run about $5 to the strip per person or about $7 downtown and you can usually save a $1 or so by paying for a return ticket. The shuttle buses will wait until they are full or nearly full with customers and so you may have to wait a bit before the shuttle departs but generally it’s not too long. The shuttle buses stop at whichever the hotels the guests are going too so if the bus is full and your hotel is the last drop off it may take a while to get hotel but the buses are air conditioned and if its your first visit you do get to look at other properties. The driver does have a tip jar by the door and if you tip it’s up to you but if he loads heavy or several cases for you it might be nice to do. The shuttle buses are run by several companies including Bell Trans (702) 739-7990, Gray Line Tours (702) 539-5700 or Showtime Tours (702) 895-9976 if you would like a shuttle back to the airport you can call one to pick you up or you might see one at your hotel that you can use.
