The Orleans is a off strip hotel and casino owned by the Boyd Group about a mile off the strip. This property caters to locals and for a locals property is pretty large with a sports arena attacted that is home to the Las Vegas Wranglers professional hockey team as well as the Las Vegas Gladiators Arena Football team. The arena can seat up to 9,200 and is also used or concerts, sporting events and comedians. The hotel complex also has a 18 screen movie theater as well as a 70 lane bowling arcade. The hotel rooms are one of the best values in Las Vegas and include a seating area in the standard rooms. Room service is a great value and available 24 hours a day which isnt always the case in Las Vegas properties. The pool is smaller as you would expect from a locals property but its still a fairly good size and a pleasant area. The location off strip isn't for everyone but if you are driving in or looking to save money its a good choice.

Casino:

The casino is sprawing with high ceilings and covers a huge 142,000 square foot and includes 2,600 machines as well as a large table game area. The keno area features 60 seats and the live poker room has 35 tables and is located next to the food court if you need a snack break.

Race And Sports Book:

The sports book is large with seating for 125 people and has large led boards on the wall as well as large televisions.

Free Strip Shuttle:

The property does run a free shuttle that picks up about every 30 minutes from 9:30am to midnight the shuttle runs to the Strip at the side of "Bills Gambling Hall & Saloon" and to the "Gold Coast" which is another off strip property owned by the Boyd Group. The shuttle bus pickup is out front of the South Entrance doors.

Movie Theater:

The onsite movie theater is a nice distraction if you want to take a break from the sights and the casino for a while. The 18 screen theater is at the top of the esculator from the casino floor to the second level.

Seafood Buffet Out At The Orleans

The Friday Seafood Night at the Orleans has ended with now the nightly dinner buffet featuring prime rib and shrimp scampi. Lots of lower priced buffets in town have special nights such as a seafood or steak night where for that night the price is higher than normal. If you are a seafood fan on seafood night for example then it can be a good deal but if you’re not in to seafood you’re just paying a higher price to eat the other items. The nightly dinner buffet price has also been raised from $14.99 to the new price of $15.99 which is still a good price for a dinner buffet. If you are a member of the B Connected players card the price for you is now $12.99 which is a good deal and the card is free to sign up for adults 21 and over.

The Orleans Hotel Rooms

Seating area next to bed is nice, sign on bed is about saving water

Television is old as you can see but worked fine and as you can see isn't centered on the dresser which is different.

The room was clean and is a good size as well as great value for the money so a good choice if you are looking for a basic inexpensive room. The wallpaper was showing signs of wear otherwise the room was fine and, the bathroom has a bathtub which is getting more rare in Las Vegas as well as a window you can open in the bathroon which is very unusual. The bathroom also includes an safe, iron and ironning board with a seperate sink and mirror from the bathtub and toilet. The desk didn't include a pen or paper but did include a sewing kit a rare find in Las Vegas today.
